Deut 6:4 says: Jehovah our Eloheem is one Jehovah.

Isaiah 7:14 says: Therefore Adonay himself shall give you a sign; behold a virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanu-el.

Mat 1:23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is God with us.

It occurs to me, folks are almost totally ignorant of this "one" they call "God."

"God" has revealed himself to us in many ways;
one of the most prolific is by the use of names.

He has identified himself as;
1. El [Strong's #410] - a generic for "Deity;" in all its forms.
2. El-oah [Strong's #433] - A deity; The deity; singular form of Elo-heem.
3. Elo-heem [Strong's #430] Plural of El-oah; seems to mean immortal
(Note: My understanding, not Strong's)
4. JHVH (Jehovah)(Yahweh)[Strong's 3068] Jewish National Name of God.
5. Adown [Strong's #113] Ruler; whether magistrate, king, or deity.
6. Adonay [Strong's #136] Proper Name For God, among the Adown.

When Isaiah prophesied of the coming "child-of-the-virgin," he proclaimed "His name shall be called Immanu-el." That is equivalent to saying "El with us."

"El" - generic Deity; as opposed to Jehovah, Specific deity of Israel.

You may rightly enquire as to the significance of this.
And the significance is found in the revelation God has made through the use of names.

Daniel tells us [11:36] that God is the "El of El."

Malachi tells us [2:10] El created us.

Exodus tells us [15:11] none compare to Jehovah, among the El.

Exodus tells us [6:3] that Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob did not know His name "Jehovah."

Deuteronomy tells us [3:24] Jehovih is a named ruler among the El.
"O Adonay Yehovih, thou hast begun to show thy servant thy greatness, and thy mighty hand: for what El is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy might?"

Joshua tells us [22:22] Jehovah is El of Elo-heem.

Deuteronomy tells us [10:17] Jehovah is Elo-heem of Elo-heem, and Adown of Adown, a great El, a mighty and a terrible.

2 Chronicles tells us [15:3] "Now for a long time Israel had been without the true Elo-heem."

Jeremiah tells us [10:10] "But Jehovah is the true Eloheem, He is the living Eloheem..."

Psalms tells us [82:1 Elo-heem stands in the congregation of the El, and judges among the Elo-heem.

Psalms tells us [89:6] that the El had sons.

Psalms tells us [95:3] Jehovah is not only a great El, but also a great king above all Elo-heem.

We learn that El is a generic name for deity because false, and pagan gods are called El; Psa 44:20;81:9;Isa 43:10;44:15,17;Mal 2:11.

But the most significant passage, is the 89th Psalm, referenced above, in which we are told of the "sons of the El."

And Jesus is a son of the El, Jehovah.
As a son of El, he is qualified to be designated as "generic diety," in one form - "Son of."

Paul tells us [Phlp 2:6] that Jesus was in the form of God;
which he was (El) and thought it not roBbery to be equal with God,
(which he was - equal with sons of el; generic deity.)

Jesus it was who tells us [John 17:3] "That they might know thee, the only "true God" and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent."

He is "son of Deity;" Which is exactly what Jesus himself claimed, while among men. He claimed to be the "son of god." Nothing more, nothing less. The resurrection from the dead proved him to be the "Son of God." It did not prove he was God.

And Thomas, who spoke the most oft misunderstood words of all,
when he said, "My Lord and My God,"
only proved that he was the "Son of God;"
the account was written, not to prove he was God,
but to prove he was the "son of God."
[John 20:31] But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God;"

I do hope you will consider this important concept.
